Cat with a suspected broken toe

Hoping that somebody can help put my mind at rest.
My cat came in limping and unable to place one of her paws on the floor. We whisked her straight to the vets who said it was not a broken leg but likely a broken toe with some swelling and we were to confine her to the house and administer pain killers once a day.
Vets advice was to bring her back mid week if still no weight on the paw as they would xray it but if she did manage to walk on it then we could bring her back for a check at the weekend.
No splint or bandage or anything and she does now appear to be able to put some weight on the paw. However she has been a little sick this morning, is it likely to just be a reaction to the pain killer (it was mixed with her food) or could it be a sign of something more serious? Not a hairball either which usually makes her sick.

I think your best bet would be to phone your vet and discuss with him/her. S/he will know if the painkiller is likely to cause nausea and if it is necessary to take your cat back in to them. Nobody on here is familiar with your cat and its injuries and treatment so far, so any advice offered would be guesswork only rather than professional opinion.0
