What can I do?

Hi all, hoping someone can help.
Hsbc let Wonga withdraw £195, even though I was already £3 overdrawn (no overdraft). Now my child benefits are to go in tomorrow and I won't get to see any of it now! Is there anything I can do so that I can at least have some of it?
Thank you for any help.

Why did Wonga take money out of your account? Is this money that's owed to them and was scheduled to be taken out on this date?0

Sorry, yes I owed them and I guess they couldn't take the full amount they took what they could, I only found out they took some money when I rang to set up a repayment plan like they said, sneaky.GC July: £0/£1200

It may be that your bank will return the debit as it has taken you overdrawn. Or, they may have let it go through knowing that there were funds in there to cover it tomorrow. When was the payment actually due to be paid, and when was it taken out? Was it by chance taken out earlier than normal?0

It was originally ment to come out on the 11th but it came out today.
Hsbc normally allows me to use my card the day before funds go in, so I'm guessing they authorized it knowing that money is going in tomorrow. But there wont be enough to cover it, as only £80 is going in, and will leave me without money and non-overdraft fees.GC July: £0/£1200 -
When did you phone Wonga to make a repayment plan with them? And what were the new terms of the repayment?0

I rang them today, what they told me to do 2 weeks ago when I first rang them. I have 4 monthly payments of £123.GC July: £0/£1200

If the money was due out on the 11th, did you have funds to cover it then?
If you did... why not now if you knew they were due to take the money.
you could ask wonga to pay your od fees but seeing as it was due out on the 11th and it is now the 14th i think the onus is on you to have had the money there waiting to be collected.0 -
If the payment was due out on the 11th how were you intending to pay it? Or did you have funds on the 11th which you then spent over the weekend?
Ultimately the bank are being nice honouring a payment you had no funds to cover. If they'd declined it then you would have had bank charges associated with that. Wonga have done nothing wrong, they've simply taken a scheduled payment.“Don't do it! Stay away from your potential. You'll mess it up, it's potential, leave it. Anyway, it's like your bank balance - you always have a lot less than you think.”
