UPVC front door (London)

I've seen a few threads on this subject but nothing that's proven helpful, so sorry for this but...can anyone suggest a decent company that can supply and fit a replacement UPVC front door in North London? I've been reading about quotes of anything from £500 to £1,500 and I'm getting lost.

I was recommended 'Enviroglaze' but they told me their prices started at a thousand, which seemed excessive since I presume that's for whatever the most basic door they have is.

Thanks for any suggestions.

Have a look on ebay, they regularly have plenty of brand new upvc front doors that go for £50-£150. Even after paying for a courier and for fitting it will be miles cheaper. Just search for auction ones 9more often than not private sellers), as the buy it now ones tend to be from businesses and are ££££££££s

If I just buy a door (from ebay or anywhere else), there's no chance it won't be the right size or something is there? The reason I wanted someone to supply and fit it was I was concerned if I buy it separately I'll be confronted by a workman rubbing his chin, shaking his head and saying "wrong size mate", but if doors are doors and basically come in one size I guess there's no bother. There's nothing outwardly unusual about the door I have now, it seems to be door-sized, nothing special about the frame and so on.
