The last time my partner signed on was 24 weeks ago. But then he claimed for us as a family the difference now is I wrk part time.

Rapid reclaim periods used to be 26 weeks, if memory serves. A quick Google search indicates that this is still the case, so you should be okay.
Edit: I should add that, since you're now working part time, whether you are able to claim depends on how many hours you're working. So get in touch with your local JCP ASAP.The Benefits & Tax Credits Board aka The Welfare & Judgement Board0 -
