  • Doesnt seem to be a surestart in Wales. Anyone know of an equivalent? My daughter got her bookstart pack at 9 month check. There were only two books in, one english and one welsh. Having said that i cant speak welsh!!!!!There was also a welsh cd in with nursery rhymes on with no translation to the songs.

  • Hi, I read this thread yesterday and remembered that I had had the pack with the canvas bag when my daughter was small. I don't think I have seen a health visitor since then. Her last couple of checks were done by post!! That is, I had a questionnaire that I had to fill in saying if I thought everything was OK and if I had any questions, just to get in touch! So I didn't get the second pack. She will be 4 in December, so after reading this I thought I would go to the library.

I took her red health book with me and asked the Librarian. She knew what I was talking about and after checking which pack to give me, went off into the back storeroom to get me one. No problems! She stamped the red book with a Bookstart stamp and dated it. It is a nice sturdy box that looks like a treasure chest! DD will love it.

So thanks to the OP for this thread.
    :hello: Danigrace :hello:
