Going with the family to Oz for 5 weeks and want to take my road bike with me. I've purchased a bike box which ensures it is packed away as safely as possible.

I've contacted a few insurers who won't cover the bike as "baggage" and winter sports isn't what I'm looking for either.

Does anyone have any experience with insuring their bike to take on holiday with them (by air).

Oh the bike is worth £1500.
