found out preg with twins last week partner laid off this week please help

As above we were estatic to find out bout twins last week

but then this week partner laid off.

We already have a 2.5 yr old and i wrk 16 hrs minimum wage i know my partner can claim JSA and we will get help wi council tax and healthy start vouchers.

Is there anything we are missing out on

I am 7 weeks too late for the sure start.

    Congratulations on the twins :) look on the bright side, at least there's plenty of time for your partner to find another job *hopefully* :T

    Are you getting working tax credit for the 16 hours.
  • as per the claim wi my partner we were getting something like £2 a month in WTC. but obvoiusly that with my partner income will this automatically change as soon as I advise them he out of wrk.

    Yes you need to notify Tax Credits and it should go up. Do you rent? You may qualify for Housing Benefit?
  • child tax credits and family allowance obviously,look at the "turn2us" website

    If you currently get help with childcare costs via tax credits this will now stop also
