Friend has asked me to sign up to skype so we can talk (she is in canada). I have a Dell PC Inspiron which has speakers but no microphone. Is it best for me to buy a small webcam with microphone please? And which cheapish ones are there that are workable with VISTA and skype.
Many thanks.

Try (for example) Tesco - but be very sure you check that the webcam has a microphone. Two of the three I looked at recently didn't have! About £10.
I would be surprised if you could find any webcam that didn't work with Vista and Skype!0 -
Really?, many thanks. Thought VISTA may be a problem (as it is so often!). Thanks.0
