tesco still do. they still accept cheques as long as you have guarentee card and dont go over the guarentee limit. anything over limit has to be paid by alternative method. so mummy still can have her shopping.0 -

Illegally, yes, she can.
Then to top it off she will blame the banks for charging her and saying how unfair it is.
Why do people who exploit the system moan about the banks. It's so totally unfair.0 -
Maybe then people will start talking about money management as much as reclaiming?Gwlad heb iaith, gwlad heb galon0

No.
Paying via cheque because your debit card has been declined due to insufficient funds is illegal.
You are paying when you have no money.
Your all campaigning about how unfair charges are. And then people reccomend this sort of payment structure. It's disgusting, irresponsible and frankly pathetic.0 -

It does not effect the shops does it. They get their money regardless.
If you stop looking to blame shops, banks, etc etc, you'll find that the people doing this are actually in the wrong, the buyer. No one else. Just them.0 -

I don't fancy having to time my purchases to within two days of next being paid on the off-chance that my debit card will refused because I have reached my hard limit, and I have to resort to a cheque.0
