Media Players

My wife doesnt want a desktop or laptop in the dining room or kitchen, but she still wants to be able to listen to her radio stations (running windows media player).

I have looked into standalone media players/internet radios and am pretty confused as to what they can and cant do.

So what Id like to do is:

have a stand alone media player in the dining room with separate speakers, and be able to log into the radio on a laptop elsewhere in the house and transmit the music/radio direct to this device.

Hope that makes sense.

    What's your budget?

Also, are you wanting to play music held on your laptop (i.e. on iTunes) or just listen to streamed radio?

So you already have an amp and speakers?
  • is an ipod touch with the speaker dock a reasonable thing to buy, my friend has the Sonos stuff and he thinks it is awesome
