  • Kitchen all clean, as are both bathrooms. Dug a handheld steam cleaner out the shed. Still unconvinced, but have to admit that I hadn't realised I had used up the cleaning spray again! (that's FCC for you, spending money because I'm actually using the stuff), but it did get some nastiness out of the edging of the freezer. Have only used oven twice, so that part of the list was eeeeeeeeeeaassssyyy!

I seem to have lost a cat over the back wall again. Now, that is taking decluttering too far. Hoping for more rain, as that brought the idiot animal back last time. I may get a catnip plant and keep it halfway up the wall. That'll distract him from going over the back. The other big one is taking advantage and sleeping on my left arm, thus making me type one handed. You would think that she doesn't want me to try and get him back.

Trying to sum up courage to get to an Apple store to get my mac charger replaced. The nearest one is about 2 hours travel - any resellers nearer don't have the authority to replace the thing for free under the recall.

But, as I have physio this Friday, have to pick up a prescription and get some more cat food/litter and would really like to get some raised beds underway this week, still unconvinced it's worth the effort.

I should really go and see if splat is back in the garden yet.

What a flipping day, hubby has admitted something to me and it has really thrown me. Anyway won't go into it but he's heading for one hell of a relapse and taking me with him. :(

Rhys has been doing much better and his cough is well away now. :D

Sister and BIL up for the night as they have no heating again, silly landlord can't be bothered to get it fixed properly.

Flying wise i'm decluttering myself to bed, nite all. xx
Sometimes it seems that the going is just too rough.
And things go wrong no matter what I do.
Now and then it seems that life is just too much.
But you've got the love I need to see me through.

  • Vanilla, not knowing for certain what it is, but guessing (and probably getting completely the wrong result), but there is no need for you to be dragged down with someone else's illness. It isn't your illness, and you already seem to do everything with very little support.

It is not your responsibility to get him well/his illness stable. He has to take the steps to care for himself, whether that is ensuring he maintains good sleep hygiene, taking medication, actually taking part in your family life.

So try and detach yourself from his problems, as they are adding to yours so much. It may be the boot up the behind that he needs, if it doesn't encourage him to take action himself to stave off a relapse, then at least you haven't burned yourself out trying to stop it for him.

And it is OK to say that you don't want this anymore. You don't have to be ruled by someone else's medical condition if you don't want to be.

[ducks away in case I've offended Vanilla or anyone else on the thread]

Cat finally got rescued from the top of a wall. So much for cats' fabled agility.

Happy birthday vanilla - and listen to Jojo - sensible advice (even if she is too soft on her cats!)
