  • Phew!

    In my 3/4HC I have...

    * Put the stale bread in the low oven to make breadcrumbs
    * Frozen the chicken stock I made yesterday
    * Made a loaf of bread, shaped it and left it to rise
    * Emptied the dishwasher
    * Repacked the dishwasher and cleared away breakfast
    * Put loo cleaner down the loos to get cracking
    * Emptied half the airing cupboard and put stuff away
    * Got the food out of the freezer for tonight (DH wants sausages and bubble'n'squeak for Valentine's Day: who says romance is dead, huh? :rotfl:)
    * Changed into my gardening clothes
    * Glugged a hasty cup of tea.

So I'm all ready to go out into the glorious sunshine to do a couple of hours out there...

Hope you got on well in your extra HHC, Penpen.

See you all later - off outside

    MissH

  • washing out, DD1 breakfasted, towel wash on. Oven is a work in progress - the chemicals are working I am supervising:D:D!

I have seen Esther Rantzen again in the Daily M***. Yet another article on how her daughter was finally cured of ME! That woman's had more comebacks than Lazarus!

Esther Rantzen is President of AYME - one of the charities for people under 26 with ME. They do stirling work helping people but whenever I see Esther on TV or in the media she never mentions them!

When she mentions ME it's usually in relation to her daughter and what has cured her this time. Last time it was the Lightening Process ( doesn't work for everyone, costs in the region of £700!)... a topic on which AYME is officially neutral ( some members recovere, some are made worse when having done it)!

Some years after her daughter was cured of the by the Lightening Process todays article speculates that Emily's 14 years of suffering was caused by Coeliac disease.........

I am so frustrated! This charity does such good work in hard times to try and promote awareness of ME ( more school days are lost through ME in Britain than any other long term illness!!!!!) and it serves it's members so well.........it just doesn't need this. Parents hopes may be raised (DD1 was tested for this at the beginning of her illness - so we know it doesn't apply) but I seriously doubt that many will discover it to be the answer to all their problems.....

Sorry for the rant! But I am :mad::mad::mad:!

Going to take some ironing upstairs....
    :jFlylady and proud of it:j
  • I'm in again. I've just applied for another job which if I got it would put our finances onto an even keel with hopefully some spare for a few treats. The extra hours will require getting tougher with Flying and meal planning though.
House not looking too bad as we had visitors at the weekend and did a furniture move round so trying to get some 'proper' work done today.
Got to take dd2 to drs later - she hasn't been properly well since November and I've had enough.
Love, hugs and spoons to all.

Just hoovered the entire downstairs - the vacuum cleaner definitely needs emptying as it isn't sucking as much as it should, so will ask Moon to do that when he gets home - I hate doing it, and he's happy to oblige. Hopefully my socks will stay a bit cleaner now.
