Santander Zero 0% until 28th Feb offer - question

I am current using a 0% until 28th Feb offer on my Santander Zero card. Now I am used to MBNA's 0% offers which say until 'month' statement date.

However the Santander Zero says 0% on purchase until 28th Feb on purchases. It seems to suggest on purchases made until 28th Feb and that the deal ends on 28th Feb even when my next statement date is 10th March.

Anyone using this one and can shed light on this?

I've found that offers are generally from the card activation date which doesn't tie in with the statement dates. I always ask when I activate the exact date the 0% ends on. It's a bit of a pain as you usually have to make provision for an early payment that month (which can take a few working days to process) or you will get interest charges between the offer expiry and the statement date.

    Hope this helps.
  • It seems Santander are deliberately trying to be vague. I shall pay it off by the 28th anyhow to be safe. Can't be bothered speaking to them for the sake of a few days interest.

    Thanks
  • Just paid my 0% Zero card off in fill a few days before the date quoted on the statement. Can't see why you would risk getting stung for interest for the sake of a few days credit at next to nothing %

I do believe that was what I said above.
  • I was in the same position and did what you intend to do, i paid off the full amount.
I had a direct debit set up to pay minimum repayment each month wiich they then took leaving me £80 odd in credit.
Be good to the young on their way up you might need them on your way down.

You have my sympathy mate, I have been waiting since for over 10 days from a Halifax card used for a balance transfer.
I suggested that they BACS it into my current account but they insisted on sending out a cheque which clearly hasn't arrived.
After 5 seperate phone calls to complain guess what they've chosen to do??? BACS!!!
The call centre Monkey's try there best to defuse one's annoyance but we the paying public are not stupid..extrapolate my situation by a 250,000 people and you have a tidy little profit.
They deserve all they get IMHO.
