Unused Contact Lenses

I've got 8 boxes of 30 contact lenses, still sealed up and within their useby date. I can't sell these, ( I think it is illegal to do so) and I wondered if anyone knew if there was a charity which could either use them or sell them to raise cash?

I would phone the optician who dispensed them and ask if they are aware of anything. I know many opticians collect old pairs of glasses for re-use in the 3rd world.

Couldn't you sell them yourself on eBay and then donate the money to charity?

They can only legally sold under the direction of a registered optician. Might be worth asking your optician if they would be of any use in return for some credit towards some specs?
