80 thanks for op very nice. But not so nice that the first person who posted these deals up only got thanked 6 times. A person that i have noticed has placed some very good posts. I have noticed because i have purchased several items from this persons post. I always check them out like i do with claires and a few other regular posters. Also has not posted since, probably feeling a bit put out. Like most people would.0

There's a deal on at the moment for Boots Essentials Cucumber wipes. They are usually £2.03 per packet but are on offer for 3 packets for £3. However, at work we have noticed that 3 packs go through the till for £3 but if a customer buys 6 packs they go through the till for £3.97!
We have no idea how this works but it seems to be 2 offers working together. As I dont know what is making this work I can't tell you how long the offer is running for or even if it's working in all Boots stores. It may be an error on our tills for all I know. I just thought that if somebody was buying 3 packs anyway they might want to take a chance on the 6 and then if it doesnt go through the till as planned you can always ask the sales assistant to take 3 off as you have changed your mind!
Thanks - this worked for me yesterday, but you must get the SA to scan all 6 packs for the glitch to kick in. I went to the till with my 6 packs of wipes and asked the young male SA if he could scan these items and let me know what the total was and he very cockily said "Well they're on 3 for £3 so that's £6 isn't it?" without any intention of scanning them all, so I replied that I would still like him to scan them, which he then did and his reaction when the till came to £3.97 was hilarious! He then tried taking them all off and scanning again and still couldn't believe it! So I then said to him that I would have the 6 packs for £3.97 and paid with my Boots points! Perhaps next time when a customer asks him to scan some items he might not be so condescending!0 -

Is that all people post for, to get thanks? Maybe the original original poster didn't headline their thread in the same way? I don't read every grabbit thread, only those which look like they may have something to interest me in the title of the thread.0 -

It's worth trying again, especially if you can produce your receipt to show that it has 'worked' before (I have done this):A

I dont shop in Boots anymore, I bought an electric tooth brush and was given a voucher for £5 off womans toiletries, which is not good for me as I am a bloke, the sales lady in boots suggested I buy facial wipes!!!!......it wouldn't have hurt boots to have included some unisex products in the £5 off voucher or a few things for men. I emailed Boots customer service department who weren't interested.
I totally agree with you. However their voucher does not even specify mens products as an exclusion, so I think they are on dodgy ground anyway.
Some of the ranges they specify on the voucher include a mens range, so in theory anyone should be able to buy the product for any gender.
I feel it is discrimation, but overt and I don't know enough about discrimation law to know if this even falls into it. Perhaps there is someone out there who does though? I frequently buy L'oreal EXPERT products for my son but cannot use the voucher as all the specified ranges are on the female products~ What goes around comes around ~0 -

I only saw this thread and that was posted by Tulien who I thanked. It doesn't pay too be too precious on MSE. Grabbit in particular is a fast moving board, and Like balletshoes I also thank those who post something that I will take advantage of I find it funny or just generally of interest. I don't go searching to see if anyone has posted it before.
This is a general comment and applies to all of my MSE thanking in general and is not a personal one.~ What goes around comes around ~0 -

Anyone know if this works with the mini Ted Baker products too, my local Boots only has a small holiday section at the moment which had the S&G and Sanctuary products on, wondered if the Ted Baker minis may be in the holiday section of a bigger store. TIA0
