I really don't like driving and would rather get the bus or train to work, though as our bus only runs 4 times a day, at odd times and would only take me 3/4 of the way to another bus stop serving my works, its impossible. Parking is a real problem where I work and whilst they encourage taking public transport and have been doing surveys etc nothings come of it.
We are looking to move house as my h2b's employers are relocating shortly, so that he can walk to work from the new location rather than running a 2nd car but I will still have to drive in and its slightly further away. Better in the long run at least financially.
Fbaby - We only live 30 minutes from central london but are on expensive Surrey borders and badly served by any transport, the train station is a good 40 minutes walk away, property is definitely not cheaper hereI love food, hate waste and have a penchant for sparkly things ::D
