You speak of an extension to the loan. It may have actually been a new loan, but you thought it was an extension.
It was extended/lent on the basis the original loan was made.

You were shown the forms, and it said PPI was included which you agreed to. The time to have questioned this was then rather than 5 years later, if that is not what you wanted.

  • I understand what you mean, but people are grtting there money back from years ago, they too should have read it thru etc. Given the fact i was just told where to sign , that cant be the write way to do it, shouldnt i have been asked if i still wanted it seeing time had past and my circumstances may have changed?

    Hi

The questionnaire is quite straight forward really, so answer to the best of your knowledge - with your own reasons you have for being mis sold the PPI.
Everyones are different to their own, good luck on your reclaim.;)

Look here for reasons for mis sell, also the reason you put in your original post.
  • I have received an offer from rbs- it was for more than I expected so have accepted this offer of £2597, however I have noticed slot of people having to wait beyond this magic 28 days , hope it goes smoothly, I too notice people are getting separate payments for the amount and interest, is that likely to cause a problem??? Very happy at the moment tho!!
