Has anybody else gone to get a cab (just a regular one, not black cab) today as there are no Metroline buses running and found out that suddenly cab fares have gone up.
My BF just rang to say he was gonna get a cab from just down the road (literally, far enough to not want to walk in this weather but its a straight road, approx 3miles) and they were going to charge him £8.50. I think its disgusting that they try and cash in.
He has now spent 20 mins on a train to get to an area that he can get the only working bus to get him home which will add a total of at least 1hr to his journey. Not something you want when you have been at work since 5AM.
How can they get away with this. I was tempted to tell him to get the cab and then just bill Metroline but I doubt they would pay up.

It's wrong but it's all about supply & demand. The same reason why holidays cost a lot more when the kids are off school.Disclaimer: Any spelling mistakes or incorrect grammar is purely coincidental and in no way reflects the intelligence of the author.0
