OK, just an Update on the OTP.

I have, for the first time in a month, been able to access my online banking (new registration). With this I set up my OTP which was instant.

To change your number, it sends you an OTP to the existing number which you have to confirm before you can use the new number - once you have confirmed this, its use is instant.

So it IS secure so long as you don't get your phone nicked.

BTW, I forgot to mention - if you don't have a mobile or just don't want to use OTP you can opt-out. Although I don't know if this restricts you to telephone banking to set-up/make payments or just puts any possible fraud due to a hacked account on your shoulders.
