  • Very similar to the quote we had which I think is for the same boiler. Our quote also included thermostatic radiator valves on all radiators, a new pump for the water tank (I think that is what it was for!) and a wider diameter gas pipe to be run around the outside of the house from the meter at the front to the boiler at the back - apparently legislation has changed to not allow the 15mm gas pipe we currently have. Will find the details of our quote for you...

Ace, thank you! That sounds more reasonable to me. I'm concerned that my swap is much easier than yours and I am getting far less. The Boiler is a direct swap, plumbing will need altering but nothing major. Flume is going directly out the wall - again no location change.

You've got a much better deal, even discounting the scrappage allowance that I can't get (correct me if I'm wrong!)

I don't suppose your guy is in the Bristol area is he?

Yes he is. PM me if you want his details. He is the one that the council (South Glos) recommend if you are using the council old boiler allowance scheme - which we are eligible for as our boiler is G rated and as old as our house which was built in 1994.
  • i live in the kidderminster area had the following, worcester bosch junior 24i installed with radiator thermostats full flush and got rid of the old boiler etc (they also fixed me a leaking pipe in my bathroom that needed to be soldered for £1700. bargain. did a god job too. worcester bosch recommended

Not too bad if VAT included.

I would question why a sesi is being fitted on a Vaillant, as Vaillant warrant the plate HE against scale for 5 years.

One of Vaillaints selling points is the scale warranty.
