Hi again! I'm still learnign how to invest so have been playing with my portfolio and would like to know if there are any areas / regions / asset classes that I'm over or under-invested in and if there are any other funds that might be better.
So, my portfolio is like this:
Aberdeen Asia Pacific: 16%
Aegon High Yield Bond: 5%
AXA Framlington Glbl Tech: 3%
IP Corporate Bond: 5%
IP High Income: 10%
JPM Emerg Mkts Infra: 7%
JPM Natural Resources: 10%
JPM New Europe: 8%
Jupiter Fin'l Opps: 3%
Jupiter India: 11%
Jupiter Int'l Fin'ls: 3%
M&G Glbl Growth: 16%
Std Life UK Smaller Co's: 3%
I'm waiting for the financial funds to braek-even then I'll probably get out of them - bought in when financials appeared to be on the mend but they've done nothing for the last 18 months or so. Might switch the India fund to First State as it looks more diverse although both have done badly so over the last few months - maybe they'll pick up once the harvest is in?
I'm willing to take risks as I shouldn't need this money for 5 years at least and I want to make better returns than inflation.
Any thoughts are very welcome as I'm still learning. I was thinking about maybe investing in Japan (GLG Japan CoreAlpha) and maybe incraesing my exposure to the US (Scroder QEP US Core I).
Thanks, L
