The latest one is not necessarily the best. Just get the most highly rated one with the best customer reviews and selling rates.
I would definitely recommend the Ultra HD series (2nd or 3rd generation) and 8GB would fit your requirements.Do I want it? ......Do I need it? ......What would happen if I don't buy it??????0 -
If possible get the 3 generation as these operate at 60 frames per sec and apparently reasonable anti shake0

Check the HM-TA1, Panasonic's take on the pocket internet camcorder.
It's HD, highly rated and only around £75.
And there are several other makes in the pipeline.0 -
As above , there are other makes available as good or better than the flip.
I ,personally, like the idea of rechargable AA batteries -easily sourced, even if non-rechargable - and SD card memory .What good is built in 8GB memory and a built-in lithium battery on a weeks hols ?
Image stabilisation seems to be the newest feature but don't know if it works on pocket cams yet.
The ability to take reasonable/any still photos is a very useful feature.0 -
I've been looking a while for a pocket HD capable camera...not so keen on the flip mailny because of what others said with recharge batt & inbuilt memory
I settled on a kodak one...and with my various needs its never let me down so far!
