It's already arrived at the OP's account. So the money sent back is what came into the account from the buyer. How does the OP end up having sent the buyer's money and their own?

Besides, if the buyer can cancel a payment then the OP can cancel the refund.

Assuming the seller refunded by bank transfer.
Besides a conman would withdraw the money fast, maybe preventing a recall.

It's an excellent point and I think if it was me I would be speaking to my bank customer service dept about the possibility of such things and what can be done to stop it from happening.

Or asking on the banking board about such things.

It doesn't square with a story I heard about online banking on the radio, a man transferred money to someone but he put the wrong bank account details in, the money went astray, and the bank could not officially recover the money, all they could do was contact the reciever and "ask" that they kindly return the money. If the reciever refused there was nothing more the bank could do.
