My mortgage is with abbey and about 2 months back I was on manual payments but for some reason the person who was doing this forgot to stop my direct debits so since then it has caused all kinds on problems they have admitted liability but can I also claim back compensation for all the trauma this has caused me. your help gratefully received.

i have been charged for the whole of my married life of 5 years - can i claim some sort of compensation for the stress of being in debt during these 5 years ??? even claiming all the monies back does not really do justice for me. i have had 5 years of anxiety and would not have been in debt if there were no such charges - please advise anyone.
thanks from kam_the_man0
