is it true that if you use your washing machine/dryer at night its cheaper? Does BG have cheaper times? Anything I can do to keep the price down when the meters come will help!

No, not unless you are on an Economy 7 metering system (or similar). As you have both gas and electricity this is unlikely to be useful for you.0
