    I'd love to be able to pay off the mortgage, first the debts then the mortgage!

    SRM, how sweet with the roses.

    I've got lots of stuff to do today and as normal I'm not 100% sure where to start. I LOVE days like those!!

  • LMC-He did actually admit he had started thinking about Valentines day,and how to come up with an excuse for not organising anything...as per usual.............

    Then he realised,now he's retired he couldn't fall back on the "I was too tired/busy/jetlagged/away" excuse....and it dawned on him it was far easier just to do it, than to think of ways to avoid doing it !!! Hurrah-my man finally grows up at 53!!!
    Debt-free...and staying that way...

    SRM you say your husband has finally grown up, mine is 51 and never grown up ,i think he's having an extended childhood, in some ways he's worse than our kids!.
