Lovely dress. If you fancy flats how about some ballerina pumps, in velvet or something. Next do loads. If you are lucky enough to have slender legs you could get some with laces/ribbons in a colour to match the dress.

I agree with Meece above re ballet pumps for flats. I would avoid knee high boots unless you are having them with heels as otherwise it would end up look too heavy and frumpy. If you can handle a small heel then these would go nicely and be a good alternative to mary janes :

Thanks everyone for your help.

I'm going to town tomorrow to try and get the boots that Lynda has suggested, then off to Dotty P's to sneak a look in there too.

I think you would something quite plain as it's a patterned dress. I'd wear knee high black or brown boots (leather or suede would look good) or alternatively chunky pumps/mary janes, again in a neutral colour.
