Worth applying for a mainstream card?

in Credit cards
Hi,
I've been using 2 bottom of the ladder credit cards for the past 7 months, Capital One Classic and Aqua. Using them every month, some times paying in full and some times min payment + a few extra payments through the course of the month. These were my first line of credit, do I have a leg to stand on with a more mainstream card?

Remember taking out mainstream cards carries more risk, such as bigger credit limits.
So you have to answer yourself the question do you need a mainstream card, not saying you will but many people have worked very very hard to build up their credit ratings once again only to then move to bigger lenders and bigger limits then unfortunately get sucked into bigger debt if not controlled properly!!0 -
What does your credit report say about you?
Your bank might be able to say whether they would be willing to give you one without you wasting a credit search.0 -
Agree with jonesMUFCforever the bank will be able to give you a good indication!0
