Hi All, i hope someone out ther can help a newbie. I have a Humax freeview box with hard disc recorder and single tuner. I have moved house to an area with the reception is sooo poor that i've got the basic sky package to see any television! i dont want to spend on a sky+ box to record programmes so i'd like to use the hard drive from the humax. How can i get the freeview system to see the channel output from the sky box?thanks

You can get most sky boxes to give out an RF signal BUT I don't think the box will recognize anything other than a digital station via its own tuner-Any posts on here are for information and discussion purposes only and shouldn't be seen as (financial) advice.0

Can't do it on my Bush ID HD box...
you can send a signal from Sky via scart or RF but the digi box seems only to want to record from its own tuner/ channel listing
I can record onto my DVD recorder or archosAny posts on here are for information and discussion purposes only and shouldn't be seen as (financial) advice.0 -

Thanks many times payless! I've tried to connect the RF output from the sky box to the rf input in the back of freeview system then scart from the freeview to the tv. bad signal is displayed on the TV. It looks like i'll have to get a DVD recorder if there isn't any options!0

too late now as you've got a sky package but would an aerial upgrade not have been a cheaper option or is signal poor even with decent aerials in your particular area i.e. do neighbours have any luck?
but as above teh humax definitely won't accept the Sky signal0
