    they've been very quick in giving a declining letter. i've appealed two with liverpool city council and they both took 8 weeks to respond!!

    i think they're just hoping you'll pay up but i'd stand firm and appeal if i were you.

    The tickets you appealed from Liverpool City Council were genuine fines which do have to be dealt with properly.

    The OP's son has a ticket from a private company which is no more than a money making scam invoice.

    It is also unenforceable, hence the consensus of advice is to ignore it.

    Whatever you do, do NOT appeal, it will only prolong the agony. You can't appeal anyway, it will never get to a court.
