I have passed through the airport a number of times. The duty-free shop is large and has a lavish display: the most memorable bargain there is a platinum-coated mobile telephone, yours for just fifty thousand dollars! In terms of alcohol and so forth, prices there are generally a little higher than at Heathrow.

If I were going to have a stop-over or any time there, I would take a flight to Muscat, which sounds really interesting.

The Emirates Mall is massive, he can go skiing there! The Al Karama is great for cheap bargains.

If there for a while try Dune Buggying or Wadi Bashing in a 4X4.

Or watch the footie in Waxi O'Connors bar. or any of the other excellent night spots.

Have a meal in Spice Island
