Wrap Platform

Can anyone please tell me what a wrap platform is? I've been given a University assignment to find out what a wrap platform is, who they are aimed at and who would sell one.

I would really appreciated some basic knowledge to get me started on this assignment.

There are hardly any wraps in the UK and those that do exist are not really full wraps.

The UK terminology is platform. Platforms cover wraps and fund supermarkets (the latter being by far the most common).
