If you paid that they saw you coming.0 -
Exactly.....it's no more than £100 for the discs....so that's £500 labour....and it's probably no more than 2 hours to replace the pair.gilbert_and_sullivan wrote: »If you paid that they saw you coming.

Thanks to everyone for the replies!
The seats are white-ish underneath, and tightly bound with a thick black mesh on top.. So its a pain to get deep down and actually get the smell out of the underlying fabric.
If you compare the colour of the fabric underneath the mesh, the back seat is a light brown colour and the front 2 seats look new. Its as if the dogs "lived" in the back of the car.
I don't know if this car belonged to a vet or a single dog owner, because I have pulled out hair of different lengths, black hair, white hair, and even red hair, yes red. Dont know how many types of dogs he/she owned. Plus the hair doesn't even come out with a hoover, you have to physically pull it out with your thumbnail and forefinger.
Anyway, here are some pics.. (Precede links with "http://")
Can't post links cos I am a newbie

I just feel cheated because I wasn't told the car belonged to a dog owner, and all this hair is coming out of nowhere.
This is the last thing I do and .. my plan of action will be to get the car valeted by valetdirect.co.uk.
They seem to have odour and hair removal as their extras...and they have a guarantee..plus they're based nearby..
And if the valet doesn't work then bulldoze the company to buy me new seats. Or used ones if they don't smell
Found a set on ebay for £134 excluding postage!
Lets hope this works.

Tell the garage to invest in an AutoSmart Aromatek machine.
We use them for cars with dog, fag, old person smells and they work wonders.
You leave the machine on for about 4 hours with doors, windows, vents closed etc...!
LOL @ the fool who paid £600 for discs!!0 -

+1 - heard good things about these.
Probably not too hard to find a local valeter with one either :T0 -
I think you may be overreacting just a little bit. Car came into stock, was "immaculated" and put up for sale. Only the prep. boys would have been aware of it needing a bit more work, and now if that hasn't worked, I'm sure the garage, once they've had a sniff, will be only too happy to book it in for a deep clean.
Don't spend any more of your own money, let them fix the problem.0 -

You only need to worry when you start pulling out short black curly ones.
