Just picked up a new notebook today. it's not finding any wireless connections - i know when my desktop looses the connection I get several options to conect to.
Can anyone explain what to do in a non tech way?
Its now asking for an ethernet cable to be plugged in. why would that be if it is wireless?

Hi
Make sure the wireless is actually turned on on the laptop. Some machines either have a small switch somewhere to turn the wireless on/off, or there is a keypress, usually the Function key plus one of the F keys, look for one with a wireless symbol on it.
Might solve the issue.
