I have the above camera and record short movies on it which are quite successful. However, on replaying through the camera there is no sound but downloaded on to my PC the sound is clear. I have tried altering the settings on the camera (have looked through the manual) but cannot see how to make the sound available. There are volume settings but none of these seems to do the trick.
Any suggestions and advise would be welcome.
Thanks.

Where are you expecting the sound to come from? Apart from making the usual camera "sound effects" and beeps, I don't suppose it can do anything else. It is obviously recording the sound, as you have found out.

I had a Canon IXUS 55 previously and I could replay the sound as well as the video. I appreciate that you are probably referring to a speaker but cannot understand why I could hear the voices on the 55 but not on the current Canon.0
