Carers allowance Advice please

I am on DLA and my wife gets carers allowance as she is my carer and need some advice please.
My old DLA claim runs out on 14th Feb and my new claim starts from 15th Feb and we have told carers about this and they said they would be told anyway so wanted to know will carers just carry on or will my wife have to fill in a new form?
im asking as she has not been sent a new form to fill in just had a letter saying that my DLA was to end on Feb 14th but that was before my new claim was done.
