My battle with the banks

Thought i let you know how I am doing against the banks. After reading the treads and adding up how much they need to refund me i sent to the banks the first letter and a second warning letter. Halifax owes £520 plus £25 for my fees and interest on those charges. One recieving the second letter they 'phoned me up and offered £300. Not the full £520 plus my charges. I said no thanks and see you in court. They put the offer in writing and put in the letter to remind me that they can close my account for not been transacted well. Sending court papers next week ( after 14 days waiting ). My credit card with Intelligent Finance paid out £100 in back charges and my fee of £17. Ha :D They paid out on thr second letter only. I wrote back accpeting the £117. They are refunding my credit card. The final one, Intelligent Finance current account, Im awaiting their reponse to the second letter. All letters go ' signed for ' with Royal Mail. Update you soon on the rest. regards Headcase:beer:

  • Update from last posting. The following morning I got a letter from Intelligent Finance and it quoted the charges for the current account were £292 not the £72 I quoted. They offered £75 refund. I phoned and declined there offer.
So I went to the court and filled two court summons for Haifax and Intelligent Finance. The Halifax is £600 and cost £80 in court fees and I.F is £350 and cost £50 in court fees. Wife was not happy with the court fees and nor I'm I. But if or when pay out over the £000 I'm sure She will not complain!!. I await the court dates and the letters too !.
  • Recieved two copies of court papers that Halifax and Intelligent Finance will get today. awaiting court hearing or Cheques!!!!!!!
