to be honest yes the head gasket sounds caput. how much will it cost? well as the timing belt hasnt done much miles you could get away without replacing it but then again recomendations are that it is replaced minus tensioner if they were changed, water pumps are not that much to buy, so could go into motor factors and get one, and so are headsets and bolts and antifreeze and oil if your desparate to get the car back up and running. if the head is warped £70-120 for skim and pressure test.

my personal choice would be to sell it on ebay spare repair.

or buy an engine may work out cheaper from ebay or scrappy.
