Anyone know where to sell 22 carat Indian jewellery?!

I wasn't sure where to post this one, basically when I was young and care free I listened to my Uncle and bought a little bit of gold as an investment (probably about £3,300 worth based on the insurance replacement value). I am now older and skint. I have worked out I'd get about £900 for scrap, but does anyone know if there are any auctions that specialise in this sort of thing or any jewellers that may buy them as pieces rather than just scrap (a few rings, ear rings and a chain)?

Many thanks for any assistance....better to be cash and paid off my credit card than sat in the safe!

Hatton Garden Metals pay the best rate and have the best reviews (especially on MSE!)

Vintage and antique jewellry can do well inan auction but you will be lucky to find anyone that will buy your pieces whole with the intention of keeping them whole, with the exception of perhaps asian jewellers who may buy it off you. Have you taken the pieces to any of them for a valuation/sale?

That is really helpful, they come up with £140 more than the best I'd found. I have emailed a few asian jewellers and I am waiting for them to get back to me. Seems sad to scrap them!
