On some sites when I add an item to the basket it just comes up with a page saying "your basket is empty" I suspect this may be something to do with my firewall but can't find anything in help pages that covers it. I am running mcafee security center on a brand new Dell can anyone help please?

Your web browser (explorer, mozilla), your firewall, or third-party software may be preventing the website from storing cookies that are usually required for these types of transactions. Try to see if cookies are disabled and enable them either for this particular site or all sites.0

Why not post the URL to see if it's site or your set up?
Try a different browser.
If you're using IE (Internet Explorer) already then check the site FAQ's if they have any. Some carts don't like some settings or browsers and sometimes these are mentioned in FAQ's! Most are fine with IE though, as mentioned, may need to look at cookie settings. Your mcafee security may also be preventing certain cookies or pop up's.0 -
Thanks folks. I have enabled pop ups for the site in question but am not familiar enough with mcafee to work out how to allow the cookies and keep getting lost in their help section when looking for a remedy, I will try the faq onsite and see if it can helpFour guns yet only one trigger prepare for a volley.Together we can make a difference.0

should I just exit mcafee to carry out transaction? surely there is an easier way than shutting down all my security everytime I want to make a purchase.Four guns yet only one trigger prepare for a volley.Together we can make a difference.0 -
You should definately NOT exit mcafee to order, If you are on F/F go to tools>options>privacy click on to cookies and check they are enabled. Can't help with I.E hav'nt used it for such a long time.Down south where, unfortunately, the government does remember us.0
