Being a bit long in the tooth I have been slow to embrace the modern ways of buying stuff - online including ebay. I made my first few purchases in the last couple of months & the few things I have ordered were all delivered and with one exception were satisfactory.
Last weekend I was looking to buy some stainless steel nuts & bolts & came across an ebay trader boltmeup. I ordered 2 items from them on Saturday & 1 on Sunday. The Sunday order was delivered on Tuesday but no sign of the Saturday orders. We are now a couple of days over the estimated delivery date and over the last couple of days I have emailed boltmeup on many occasions and received no reply. I understand there might be many reasons why the nuts & bolts have not arrived but I do not understand why they are not replying to my emails.
I have looked at their feedback etc. Although this means little to me I cannot see any reason why I should not have entrusted them with my order.
I did pay using PayPal & understand it is early to be asking PayPal to resolve this issue or provide me with a refund but can anyone advise if in the event of non delivery PayPal would refund my money?
Look forward to advice.
Thanks
Mike

Hi Mike,
Firstly, you can obtain the sellers tel number and give them a call if you think this will help. Use the ADVANCED tab next to the green search bar. Have the item number copied so you can paste it on the page and have a note of the userid. Then click on FIND CONTACT INFORMATION on the left hand side. Input the item number and userid. Within a few seconds you will have a phone number via email.
Whatever the outcome, you can file a dispute with Paypal (try not to use Ebay it is not easy) within 45 days of the purchase date. If the seller cannot show an online proof of delivery to you, you will get a full refund of the item plus postage.
If you want the items rather than a refund, I would try the phone call first.0 -
The seller would have to prove delivery with a tracking number of some sort. If they can't prove delivery, in the event of a paypal claim, they would have to refund the sale price plus the postage costs.
It's always worth leaving plenty of time before opening a claim though, and give the seller chance to repond first. I'd maybe wait until Monday then think about opening a dispute if you have heard nothing.0 -
Thank you.
It seems I have been trying to contact boltmeup using the wrong method. When I ordered I received an email thanking me for my order. I repeatedly replied to these emails to no avail. At lunch time I decided to contact boltmeup using the "contact the seller" function on their ebay site. I am pleased to say I received a reply from them in 20 minutes. They confirmed my items were sent on Monday, should have been with me by now but if they do not arrive by tomorrow morning let them know and they will send replacements.
It is also reassuring to learn about the possibility of a refund via PayPal for the future.
