Some PPC's actually pay a PPC who does have access to the DVLA database to get the details for them, is it called Ranger Services or something?!

But wouldn't the PPC who request the data risk losing their link if the other PPC did something silly? My mate who's a copper says that the DVLA hate all of these PPC's cowb**s and look for any excuse to cut them off.

That's why I'm concerned because the PPC's if they behave themselves are now, basically, legitamised by law and by our "GOVERNMENT"

[this never would have happened under Labour who look out for the working classes unlike the Tory cutting scum].

What the DVLA should do is to hike up the fee from £2.50 to say £10.

If they are selling everybody's details then they should make more money from it.

Why don't the dvla just stop giving out the details to private companies anyway? What right does someone whos not the police have to know who owns my vehicle?!?!?!

Has never happened that we're aware of and the DVLA seems happy so long as the money is rolling in.

Well I'm sorry but I think your mate (copper or not) is talking b*****ks.

DVLA are more than happy to take the money and run IMO.

Dunno mate I think that's what we're all trying to establish.

If they can go back through their archives though we might be in trouble.

Or if the laws don't come in, we'll be fine.

At least you have only got one, my mate's got 47 that we wasn't the driver for!!!!!

Only just been introduced to Parliament as Bill..it isn't law until it becomes an Act after debate and amendments by both the Commons and the Lords.
    Could take several months.
(If you want to know more about how a Bill becomes an Act visit the UK parliament website)

Also they will not be able to apply it retrospectively.
