I have found some GKN share certificates 'drip' issue mostly for 1 or 2 shares each, but some for 30 or 20 . How do I find out if these are still ours (husband and I) and whether they are worth anything? We only have 108 total.

These shares are around £2 each.
You should have been receiving a small dividend twice a year.
The Registrars for this Company are Equiniti. You should contact them to ask about your certificates. Their details can be found here:

The DRIP shares are the small dividend. If you are still getting these, you still own the shares.

If all your 108 shares are DRIP issue, and you're still receiving them, it seems quite likely to me that you also hold a larger number of shares, which are entitling you to your dividend shares....

    SandraTh - If you
[1] go to Equiniti's Shareview website at
    http://www.shareview.co.uk/Pages/PublicShareEnquiry.aspx
[2] Find GKN on the drop-down menu
[3] Enter your Surname, Shareholder Reference [on all your certificates] and your Postcode

    - then you should discover whether you are registered as a shareholder at your address. If you've changed your address without letting them know then your current Postcode won't be recognised. :)
