as far as i can tell, all of the gems that used to be in shopping centres near me have closed down, very much "all of a sudden" actually, so i would steer very well clear of them even if you can find them, must be in some sort of trouble financially!
Still one in the Flagship Centre in sunny Bangor, lovely revamped shop and I have got some lovely funky necklaces from there:)0 -
Joseph Reas are hard to beat for service, quality and value! We highly reccomend them.0

My husband picked mine from there, and I absolutely love it. One of the claws that held the diamond in place had caught on my jumper and came loose. I took it back and they couldn't have been more helpful in getting it fixed for free.
Great service and would definitely recommend.:j0 -
My fiance bought my engagement ring in Joseph Reas in September. I love it and have just been quoted a very reasonable price for a wedding band as well (they give you discount if you bought your e ring in there), so a big thumbs up from me :money:
Also, it might be worth taking a look in Ellison Brothers (opposite the John Hewitt) they're having a closing down sale at the minute with great reductions.0 -
We bought all our rings in Joseph Rea after much searching. I originally picked my engagement ring in Lunns and was shocked at cost. I took note of the clarity etc and joseph reas matched the exact same ring for much much less. Since then also got eternity ring at great price. Def recommend.0

Many thanks to everyone for all your advice and comments. I ended up buying it in Joseph Rea's and reckon I have made the right decision - it certainly seems to have been met with universal approval ! The professional appearance and attitude of Lunn's with complimentary coffees etc, etc is in stark contrast to sitting in the hall way of Joseph Rea's on wobbly stools with someone hoovering behind you ! And no sign (or even smell of any coffee!!). I have read one particularly bad online review, but all others have been good. In the end, the ring was great, less expensive than the equivalent in Lunn's and really does look fantastic. Thanks again for all the comments.0

I've been in Joseph Rea's 3 times in the last 2 weeks and they have been hoovering each time - honestly! - 2 times at their shop in Castle Lane and once at the other shop down near Ann St :rotfl:
Times of visits differed also so its not like I be in at 5pm as they tidy up for the day
That's really tickled me :rotfl:0 -
We got my engagement ring from Joseph Reas and I absolutely love it but will not buy from there again. When looking for wedding rings it was the first shop we went to, as my ring is an unusual shape I knew I'd need to get a wedding ring designed and made so approached the man serving, asked about getting a ring made to fit my engagement ring and a grooms ring to match. He couldn't have been less interested, looked at my engagement ring, turned his nose up at it, popped it back on the counter and muttered 'Yeah, it'll be from £x to do that' I asked about a grooms ring to match and was told their male rings started from £x and he walked off. Didn't even try to discuss anything about ring designs or try to serve us at all. Was absolutely disgusted and will not go back.
Went round to Lunns who, while snooty I admit, were incredibly helpful.Norn Iron Club member 273:beer:0 -

So you would like staff to say yes mam, thank you mam. Would that be worth it to pay £200 or so more?0
