BT Privacy has undone TPS goodness.

I am registered with TPS, this worked really well and we had no sales calls. I was however paying for caller ID, so decided to cancel the call ID and use BT Privacy to get it free. I phoned BT up and changed over no problem, but I now get several calls a day from 'INTERNATIONAL' (usually trying to sell mobile phone contracts) which I didn't get before applying for BT privacy. Is there anything I can do about this or is BT punishing me for getting caller ID for free when I used to pay for it?!

TPS does not cover calls from overseas companies.
The fact that you now get them is no doubt a coincedence and would have nowt to do with BT,nor the fact that you no longer pay for caller display.

A lot of my calls are from 'International' - because I've pointed so many people in the direction of 1899, 18185, 18866 and, for those without computer access, the various 0844 gateway providers* which enable them to make calls so much cheaper than at BT's rates.

*Yes, it surprised me too that using one of the 0844 providers within the UK should result in an 'International' CLI, but it does!
