The CCJ is only applied if it goes to court, the PPC wins judgement, and its not paid within 28 days, and lets face it out 850k tickets issued yearly 60%-70% of them ignored, how likely is it to happen?

Agreed but the fact remains in the very very rare cases that are won by PPC there is a "CCJ against you" as soon as they win,that's not a lie
just a very good twisting of the truth, enough to scare people which is obviously the intent . As with all PPC letters it is all may not will but they do their very very best to make sure that fact is not made clear.

That is why people on here, pepipoo and CAG say it the way it is, a ccj can only be added if the judgement is not paid after 28 days, I have yet to see a win for them when it's defended properly, what I have seen is default judgements over turned , and lots of losses for them.

You are talking about a handful that goes anywhere near court, there are easier marks out there for the scammers !

If you are not a liar, prove it by naming the court and the case number, if it exists, which i doubt.

Ticket in Nov couple of months later a County court summons so January? Defended case at court done and dusted by February? I don't think so somehow!

Maybe a bit of research into time scales may have made your post a wee bit more believable!

Actually, I've just had the same thing. Sigh. I did ignore it, and yesterday I received a county court note saying I now owe them £132.50 because they've added solicitors' fees.

Maybe ASP do take these things further. I'm looking for a way to get out of it, but I'm guessing I'll have to pay up. Boo hiss.
