Electric cooker hob - one ring stopped working!

Can anyone help?

My smeg electric cooker hob tripped the fuse box switch the other day. I reset it and after that noticed that only 3 of the hobs rings are now working.

Can anyone suggest what has gone wrong and how it can be fixed?

    The element has probably failed, same thing happened to our hob. If it is not too old you will be able to get a replacement element. there are several on-line spares places.
    If you cannot DIY it then you will need to call the repair man.

    Was it expensive to repair? Our cooker is a smeg and only a few years old. Do you know the names of the online suppliers you mentioned?
