I have been asked to do some talks and would like to connect a projector to my Macbook for this. So as this is voluntary and not paid need to keep costs down.
Looked on Ebay but am confused with all the options, obviously don't need HD, but needs to be bright enough for a slightly darkened hall with up to 60 people. Also as I will be moving it robust or cheap lamp?
So what should I be looking for and what should I avoid?
Reviews seem to be for expensive current models which can be very expensive.

Lamps are not cheap, and have a certain life, buying used from ebay would mean you have no idea as to how long the lamp has already run and what the remaining life would be.0

Hi
Have a look at some of the earlier Epson EMP ranges, alot of them can be picked up on ebay for less than £100, and they are nice and bright and pretty robust.
Make sure the projected colours are true, and if the display is showing any magenta or yellow tinting either at the edges or across the image then this shows burn in damage and leave well alone.
Lamp life is 2000 hours standard brightness or 3000 low brightness and lamp prices are about the same as anyone elses.
