Halifax Cash ISA - Sending Time
Plxply
Hello,
I've opened a Cash ISA online with Halifax on the 6th of February, at the time I was told that I was accepted and that they would be sending the details for online banking along with the details of my account to me through the post. I know it hasn't been a particularly long time since then however I still have not seemed to have received it, especially as this is the simple matter of printing details off (rather than creating a new debit card for example).
As such I'm wondering if I should call them regarding this, or would it be better to wait a little while longer?

6th was Sunday - you don't know how many people in front of you they have to deal with first - I would give it a couple more days as probably it will be sent 2nd class anyway.0

typically 7-10 working days you have to wait which i did0

I'm more strangely concerned about my account details being lost in the post, then me requesting a new copy to only find my account emptied 6 weeks later. The letter still hasn't arrived, should I assume it has been lost in the post and phone them on Monday?0

Give them a ring or contact the branch, if you have opened the account with monies then you should have received a statement of some sort by now.
As for the online registration, have you checked your SPAM/JUNK mailbox. If you gave Halifax an e-mail address they can e-mail you parts of your internet banking registration process.
Either way best advice is to check with the bank.0 -
Nope no money at the moment, but within there terms and conditions I need to fund the account within 60 days. They provide the best Cash ISA rate and the only alternative for a decent rate is ..... Santander. Anyway I shall call them on Monday, what exactly would be the best number to call? For example the ISA can only be accessed from Internet Banking so would the internet banking help desk be the best place to contact?0

If you applied online then YES that should be your first point of contact remembering to tell them about the 60 day thing about funding the account.Nope no money at the moment, but within there terms and conditions I need to fund the account within 60 days. 08457 263646 - savings helpline
0845 602 0000 - online
Or go to their web site, branch finder, find your local branch and it displays the branch number should you struggle with the helplines.
You have not received any statements because you have not opened the account with any monies yet!0 -
I wasn't expecting a statement but at the end of application process they said that the details would be sent to me through the post, as it had experienced similar with my current accounts (being sent the internet banking number through the post) I figured it would work similarly. Although I may be wrong and late night Saturday ISA opening isn't the best idea

I opened mine around the same time as you and recieved the account details about a week later. Give them a ring, i think the letter is lost in the post.0
