Just a quick note for anyone who either has their hair highlighted or is thinking fo doing so in the future, please don't use this it will cost a fortune to correct.

As these are permanent tints the only way to lift it is bleach, I used the lightest blonde on my roots as a quick fix between hairdresser appointments, big mistake. The lightest actually darkened the colour I had before to a brassy coppery colour (definately not what was n the box). I had to go down the bleach route so my hair has suffered a fair bit.

If you have a dark colour it probably is fantastic but for those with highlights, save your money!

I had highlights when I first used it but put it all over my hair, not just on the roots. It did lighten my hair and it covered my gray (haven't got that much yet though). All in all I was very pleased with the result as it still looked highlighted! It left my roots slightly darker than I would like but I would use it again. It didn't leave them darker than they were originally.
  • Noticed the other day that as well as Nice and Easy, L'Oreal Casting has also got a foam version. I personally prefer the foam method and JF is my favourite. For those who have had unsatisfactory results, maybe they ought to stick to salon treatments and pay £40++.

You cannot expect to go from brown to light blonde just by sticking a colour on for 20 minutes (it does say only choose a colour within two shades of your original colour). To do this you need to bleach the hair and is best done in a salon, going blonde (and it looking good) is not something to do on the cheap. You cannot blame the product if it is not used correctly.

I didnt blame the product, I knew my hair wasnt going to go the colour of the box, I just wanted my roots lightened as the rest of my hair is already blonde! (done in a salon, not on the cheap). So yes it worked to lighten the hair and give an allover colour.
